The Anchor Bay Tars defeated a young but tough Lanse Creuse Varsity lacrosse team 12-4 on Tuesday night. Evan Cloninger had a hat trick, Tony Ihns scored his first and second career lacrosse goals, Jacob Moses and Chris Domanski each added a pair of goals, Evan Shock scored 1, and Gavin Walters pegged his first lacrosse goal as well; Ethan Wagner, Shock and Cloninger also had assists in the win. Brendan Beug valiantly earned his first face-off win, going 4 and 1 on the game. Noticeable effort was put forth by Jacob Rinehart on defense matching up against whoever ended up near him, as Shock was again a clearing machine. The close defenders of Joey Plotzke, Stephen Domanski and Aaron Hunter were able to effectively seal off the opposing attackmen holding them to only 3 goals, which were all scored by Michael Shea for LC. Jake Allen recorded a stunning 11 saves in the win, standing on his head for several of them.
