Tars Swim and Dive is runner-up at MAC White Division Meet

Anchor Bay Tars showed they belong in the MAC White finishing 2nd overall and contending for the top spot until the final relay. The day ended with Dakota edging out the win with a final score of 349, Anchor Bay 2nd (332), L'Anse Creuse North 3rd (262), Fraser 4th (143), Romeo 5th (87), L'Anse Creuse 6th (65).

After moving up a division this year and ending up 3rd in dual meet competition, Coach Ott couldn't be happier with how the team finished the season. Dakota has been the MAC White powerhouse for at many years now and the swim team definitely made them earn the win this year. There were so many great swims/dives that allowed the Tars to be in a position to win the meet. To think, the Tars were just 18 points from winning the meet is really encouraging considering the girls ended with a dual meet season 3rd overall. Several coaches mentioned how impressed they were with the Tars' swims. Congratulations, ladies!

Also, congratulations to our Head Swim Coach Kevin Ott on being nominated as the MAC White Coach of the Year. "I would also like to thank the girls, because of how well they did I was voted the MAC White Coach of the Year. They represented Anchor Bay High School and our swim program quite well! I am proud to be a Tar!" said Coach Ott.
